Spend some time at Carrog and Glyndyfrdwy →
Carrog and Glyndyfrdwy will be the location of many of the event's attractions during the nine days.

At Glyndyfrdwy there will be plenty to see, and a break to your journey is recommended at least once. Most of the smaller scales will be displayed here, from 3.5" to 10.25" there will be over 50 live steam locomotives on display. For those interested in road going vehicles there will be traction engines in steam, and a collection of vintage motorcycles. Food and refreshments will also be available.
Carrog is the terminus, and maybe a change of locomotive for the return journey, but please spend some time here if you have not chosen this as your staring point for the Gala. There is a cafe serving teas, coffee and refreshments, whilst outside there will be numerous trade stands and exhibitions. Hornby model railways will be displayed here, along with Ian Allen publishing, and Eric Bottomley GRA will be showing a display of paintings on platform two. The West Lancashire Light Railway also have a demonstration line at Carrog.
The platforms at Carrog also offer a fantastic vantage point for the Cavalcade on the afternoon of Sunday 26th.
